Beloved Teacher, New Books

Many, thanks to the
Lawrenceville High School class of 2000.

Alumni made it possible to add new
books to our library, in memory
of educator Mrs. Robin LeGrand.

Here are just some of the titles
Mrs. Newlin has placed in
the collection, for pupils
to check out and enjoy.

We appreciate this kindness!

Monarch Butterfly of Aster Way

"Beginning her long journey from a yard on
Aster Way, Monarch Butterfly flies across
the U.S. and south to Mexico where she
plans to spent the winter."

Our pupils shared this tale in Creative Literacy classes during September and then designed what we call "Smart Art" by creating insects.  The Smithsonian Institution reviewed the book for accuracy and it's a great addition to our collection.   We hope boys and girls now know and understand more
about the life cycle of the monarch butterfly.

You can find this book
in Parkside's Title 1 Room.

Thanks in advance for
reading
to or with youngsters.

We say "Yes" to good books for kids!
